Testing WindowBuilder on Oracle JDK 9 from http://jdk.java.net/9/ - crashes on open. Error appears to be bad version validation - new Java 9 reports version as "9" on Mac and Linux, instead of "1.9.0.xxxx" like previous versions. Need to add an 'if' statement to handle version number string less than 3 characters long. Note that upgrading java to 9.0.1 fixes the problem, since the version text is long enough again there. So in some sense we can say that it was a bug in JDK 9.0, which had been already fixed by the JDK update :) Anyway, the fix for exactly JDK-9.0 is now handled under Bug 526098, so I am going to close this one as a duplicate *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 526098 ***
