Steps to reproduce:

1) Open ControlExample on GTK3
2) Go to "Text", delete what's already in the widget and write something
3) Close ControlExample

Several of the same assertion failures are spewed in the console:

(SWT:8807): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_container_foreach: assertion 'GTK_IS_CONTAINER (container)' failed

I no longer see this issue on 4.8 M7, GTK3.22.
