Breadcrumb is handy for navigation between files in the same (or nearby) directories. Therefore, there should be an option to show it in all kinds of editors. Some will probably argue that this is not its main purpose. But its current behavior is not "pure Java" already and a little inconsistent IMO: It shows non-Java files in the current package; so it allows me to navigate from a Java to a non-Java file, but not the other way round.
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie.
I am so sick of helpful bots closing issues. Again, this is still relevant (on 2019-12 (4.14.0) Build id: 20191212-1212). (I have read the relevant "New and Noteworthy" pages for 4.15 and 4.16, and don't think those versions fix it either.)
