If you're looking for gratuitous feature adds in the UI, here are a couple of 
ideas for the quick view toolbar:

1) Allow drag-n-drop reorganization of quick view toolbar.  This would mean you 
can re-sort the order of perspectives and views in the toolbar.  The Notes quick 
view does this.  Could optionally allow dragging perspectives out to create a 
new window, and dragging views out to undock/restore them.

2) Put a small quick view toolbar at the bottom of the window as well, next to 
the status line.  Some views are a lot more suited to popping up vertically than 
across horizontally.  While the navigator looks good popping out from the left 
(because it is tall and narrow), things like the console, search results, and 
task list would look best popping up from the bottom (because they are short 
and wide).
