what it is like in Beyond Compare. This panel in Eclipse should be under Java Structure Compare.

I would like to arise attention to add a feature to diff the lines in comparison inside an additional vertical panel, both in Text compare and in Java Compare with CVS, or some other VCS like SVN and Git. Now, the Compare windows allows only horizontal panels view, make the line-to-line comparison very comfortable, but in a somehow narrow screen (actually not so small, with optimized resolution of 1280*1024), I must scroll every time to the right to see the actual change, every other time. I can see 77 letters in a screen's width with a clear font size, but when it comes to longer lines, it's not enough.

Instead, what we see in Beyond Compare is good, so I am thinking about integrate it into Eclipse. If I can help it's the best, show me some hints about where to start and thanks. I don't know if it belongs to Java CVS compare, or Java Compare, or Text compare, but I would put it here first.

The bug/feature improvement is platform-independant.
