Description Huanlin Tsai CLA 2004-01-30 10:14:42 EST
The bookmark window is not convenient, we really need shortcut key to add,
remove and move to a bookmark.

I agree that the bookmarking system as it exists right now is not very well
implemented, but this partly due to the list of bugs with "parameters:" in their
summary. Read them to get some background. Essentially, we have no mechanism
for executing dynamically created items via the keyboard.

This being said, perhaps when you say "move to", you really want a command that
is specifically "next bookmark". As it is right now, "next" will take you to
the next bookmark if you have it configured that way. If you drop-down the
yellow down (or up) arrow, you will see a list of items to which "next" (and
previous) apply. The default is "errors" and "warnings". However, "bookmarks"
is one of the options.

If this doesn't float your boat, please let me know.

Bug 38356 already asks for a remove bookmark command.

The add bookmark command already exists, but has not key binding by default.
This is not likely to change for 3.0. You can bind the command yourself if you
like. If you feel passionately that the default key binding set should provide
such a binding, please let me know.

As it is, I'm assuming that all you really want is a parameterized command of
some sort to "jump to bookmark N", where N is some number.
