I'd appreciate an option to trim trailing blanks (and possibly whitespaces).

Please report cases where you have a trailing whitespace or blank in general. It
is a bug.

Fixed and released in HEAD.
Regression test added.
Please reopen if you find cases where trailing whitespaces/blanks are still there.

I'm not sure where the correct place is to ask this question:

If I understand correctly, trailing whitespace is removed upon running the Code
Formatter. Is there any other way of achieving the whitespace removal without
Code Formatting? Basically I would prefer it on saving a file.
