Upon saving (by pressing ctl-s) a new change in a java class, this error popped up. However, when I opened said class in a text editor from the filesystem, the change had been saved. This causes panic but it can be easily verified whether or not the save actually occurred. This is eclipse 2.1.2.
Do you have a stack trace in your .log file?
As Tod, wrote we need the .log. Can you reproduced this? If so, please provide steps. Setting to REMIND until more user input is available. Severity is major.
Get rid of deprecated state.
