When adding support of new language features to Titan, also the ASN.1 mapping needs be updated. Namely, the standard supports automatic reference for ASN.1 named numbers and a new CR added support for referencing named bits as well.

Named number references are intensively used e.g. in ETSI's ITS test suites.
