Description Ben Tatham CLA 2016-08-05 09:21:01 EDT
This is the reverse of Bug 462513. In line with the option to "Close Hierarchy" the hierarchy, it would be great to have an "Open Hierarchy" as well to open the entire group.

Currently, to work around both the close and open issues, I have to manually create working sets for each equivalent hierarchy in the Package Explorer and use open/close on the working set. This gets very tedious if I forget to add one project to the working set (like when we might add a project to the hierarchy). So I have to keep both the Project Explorer and Package Explorer open all the time, which is annoying since they are such similar views with _almost_ equivalent functionality.

Our use case is Maven multi-module projects (using m2e).

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
