The actual environment:

Eclipse Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools SDK in version: 4.5.0.v201506092134

BIRT ReportDesigner of BIRT-Version 4.5.0 crashes with NullPointerException when doing exactly the same as described in bug 435171 with exactly the same libraries and report of bug 435171.

So this issue isn't fixed in BIRT 4.5.0. Please fix it!

Now i have tried with BIRT-Version 4.6.0.v201606072122. It works fine.
