Created attachment 262501 [details] Egit Currently the Ctrl+F command opens a dialog. I think it would be much nicer if it would work similar to the EGit History extension where a inline find element is opened. This is also used by other tools like Intellij. See sceenshots.

What's the corresponding Replace UI look like?
You can use Ctrl+J

You change it by typing. The text is in the status bar. There are no plans to change this.
