Description John-Mason P. Shackelford CLA 2003-12-31 15:43:25 EST
Several perspectives I have used become cluttered and unusable when an editor
opens. A setting on a perspective should indicate that it does not support
editors. When an event which would ordinarily trigger and editor from opening
occurs in such an editor a dialog should prompt the user to cancel or switch to
another perpective. Switching to a non-editor perspective from a perspective in
which editors are already open should automatically hide editors. Switching back
should unhide them.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
