I opened the ctrl + h to search, i entered my key terms i wanted to search for and i am searching through .xml, .java, and .properties files. I start the search, then around 99% it just freezes/never completes and then these searches stack up and take most of the processing power of my machine.
I cannot reproduce this using our latest Neon (4.6) RC2 build candidate: http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/I20160519-1730/ Please try that build and provide concrete steps. > Endless Search I can't resist: how do you know that ;-)
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
