Just as in the attached image. The cursor was moving just above where the black bars on the right lie.

Forced GTK2 by setting SWT_GTK3=0
Comment 1 Alexander Kurtakov CLA 2016-04-15 13:32:29 EDT
Can you share the reason for defaulting to GTK2? FWIW, operating systems are actively upgrading underlying libraries (cairo, pixman, pango, X11, wayland, webkitgtk ....) which all lie under GTK2 and GTK3 and GTK2 testing is becoming less and less frequent with such issues appearing more often. It's about time before gtk2 port becomes unusable.
Comment 2 Marcin Mielniczuk CLA 2016-04-16 06:47:46 EDT
Because the GTK3 port is unusable for me due to #491524? Because everything in GTK3 is 1.6x bigger on my small 1366x768 screen?

Triaging Gtk2-only bugs. Please see Bug 530841 for details.
If this bug is not gtk2-specific, please indicate.
Thank you for your bug submission.

Please note, in the meantime 491524 was fixed. If there's still something that stops you from moving to gtk3, please report it to gtk3 show stopper. (see 530841 for detail)/.
Comment 4 Eric Williams CLA 2018-07-10 13:57:59 EDT
Please note: GTK2 support for SWT is being dropped in Eclipse 4.10 / SimRel 2018-12 release.

See the following mail for more info: http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/cross-project-issues-dev/msg15783.html
Comment 5 Alexander Kurtakov CLA 2018-07-12 10:14:48 EDT
Marking the bug as wontfix as no work for GTK2 issues will happen. Please reopen if you still face the issue using GTK 3.x.
