Created attachment 260733 [details] Here's an image with the ghosting covering my code. I just updated to 4.5.2 and the scrollbars ghost and the ghosts make it very hard to read my code. This happens in all the perspectives. My specs are: ubuntu 14.04 LTS memory: 3.8 GiB processor: Intel Core i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz x 4 graphics: Gallium 0.4 on NV46 OS type: 64-bit To reproduce this, just enter a text that spans past the right side of the editor or the bottom. Just put in anything that lets you scroll.
From which version you updated to 4.5.2 ? Could you please try use GTK2, and tell if the problem persists? To set gtk2, you could export SWT_GTK3=0 As an environment variable. See: https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php?t=msg&th=796060&goto=1403247&#msg_1403247
Moving to SWT. I plan to close this bug shortly, as we had long time inactivity.
I'm so sorry for the very late reply. I have downloaded Eclipse Neon and the ghosting sidebars are gone.
