Running a build of Eclipse Neon Version: Neon Milestone 4 (4.6.0M5) Build id: 20160203-2351 on an openSUSE Tumbleweed Linux machine ( KDE/Plasma Workspace 5.5.4, GTK 3.18.7 ). I have a workspace with a large number of projects. When I start typing the the project name and it is not yet in the visible part of the project explorer view the view does not scroll far enough to bring it into view.

Robert, could you try a very recent integration build (I-build)? A lot of GTK3 bugs have been fixed recently. The following is the candidate for 4.6M6: http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/I20160317-0200/
I accessed http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/I20160317-0200/, and from there added http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/4.6-I-builds/I20160317-0200 as an update site to Eclipse. But when I access Help -> Check for updates I get "No updates were found". How can I update to this I-build?
The updates are at: http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/4.6-I-builds/I20160317-0200 I wouldn't normally recommend updating your IDE to an I-build, but this one should be pretty safe.

Since this issue was just fixed this morning with bug 485906, I'll update later and test the results
