Description Tod Creasey CLA 2003-12-16 09:57:34 EST
20031216

The Selection page of the import plug-in and fragments dialog does not respond
to any key events although all other pages in the wizard do. This works fine on
Windows.

STEPS
1) Select Import Plug-ins and Fragments
2) Alt-N to the Selection page
3) None of the menmonics work and you cannot tab

Moving to Platform UI.
PDE wizards do nothing special to support/not support mnemonics.

I reported a similar bug to this in the past (Bug 44919) which Silenio fixed.
There is some jockeying back and forth about whether "NumLock" is on. I'm
passing this to SWT for comment. I can't reproduce on my machine, and this
does not sound like a key bindings problem.
Comment 3 Grant Gayed CLA 2003-12-16 12:47:41 EST
Focus seems to be non-existant when the selection page is initially shown.
Comment 4 Carolyn MacLeod CLA 2004-03-29 14:21:03 EST
Reassigning priority to P1 for 3.0 because it is on Tod's hotlist.
Comment 5 Carolyn MacLeod CLA 2004-04-06 14:49:19 EDT
I can replicate this on my Red Hat 9 GTK in eclipse M8.
I looked at bug 44919, where the problem was the NumLock key, and this is not
the problem here (i.e. I do not have any accelerators on that page whether or
not NumLock is on).

Bug 57552 provides an additional case in which this is failing. A fix for this
is important for the Linux platform usability in general.
