Description Ari Carr CLA 2016-01-20 21:00:25 EST
I like to save my work all the time while working on something, but when I hit Command-S to save my work and then start typing more, any keys that I press while the "save" progress bar is running don't register, even after the save is finished. Please fix this!

Saving Eclipse files always takes a few seconds. Microsoft Word has conditioned me to assume I can hit Command-S and then just keep typing, and the computer will catch up with me. In Eclipse, when I hit Save and then immediately continue typing, any keystrokes I make during the save process are totally ignored. Please fix this so that I can hit save and then continue typing and my keystrokes will continue to be logged during the save process. Thank you!

If this isn't enough information, please let me know what other details you would like me to provide.

Thanks for your interest in making Eclipse better.

1. Which is the editor slow in saving ?

2. Which Eclipse are you running, is the Eclipse for Java ?

3. Which extra plug-ins do you installed on your Eclipse ?

I would like to get more information so we can understand and fix the problem.

As first thing, I will need to know if there is a particular editor that is slow in saving. Is the Java editor slow in saving?

Then, I would like to know which Eclipse you installed, and which plug-ins you added to your Eclipse installation.

Finally, it would be good having further details, as an example a video showing the issue, or maybe the log file, to check if there is some error

We can not investigate without proper information.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
