Description jeff smith CLA 2015-10-26 18:57:23 EDT
Hello,

Eclipse failed to open after I updated Java. It was working fine before the update

eclipse-java-mars-1-win32-x86_64 Now, a little window pops up with 36 lines of text. The first 2 lines are:

Java was started but returned exit code= 13
C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath\javaw.exe

Everything worked fine before Java updated: Java 8, update 65 is the latest version.

Help?

Thanks.

The first two lines are the ones with the least information on this issue.

Could you please share the other information aswell?
Comment 2 Arun Thondapu CLA 2015-10-27 03:05:53 EDT
Could be because of bug 221969, can you confirm that you're using a 64-bit JVM with 64-bit eclipse?

Reducing the bug priority as there is no response

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
