Description Mike Wilson CLA 2001-10-11 14:23:06 EDT
The problem with the cursor positioning is that it counts characters to
find the column position, and then attempts to position the cursor at the
same column on the next/previous line. When it does this, it doesn't
account for the tab settings, it just counts the tab as a single
character. So the cursor tends to jump around quite a bit instead of
attempting to stay in the same column. Try for example indenting a line
with 4 spaces and the next line with a tab. Then switch back and forth
between the lines.
