For instance in protocols like 60870-5-104, there are commands which can only be written, with no read equivalent. Since there is no actual item, and if they would be configured in the master server, they would be marked as invalid.

To prevent this, we would need some kind of item type which accepts writes, but is valid. This could also be an extension of the existing ExternalValue
