The Window > Hide Editors menu item could have been implemented as a toggle 
this would have the advantage of the user not having to re-search in order to 
locate the menu item that will show the editors.  

Is there a reason for this behaviour, otherwise it seems like the right 
candidate for a toggle

I don't think Hide Editors can be found on the Window menu anymore.  This can be
closed.
