Description David Williams CLA 2015-06-03 15:52:45 EDT
Opening this bug as a reminder, that I think it's been a while since we have done a "full test pass" of accessibility ... where we test with "screen readers" and similar tools.

There might be more current links available (especially by the time we do this) but some links explaining criteria and tools is available at

I should probably add, I put this in "UI" as it's initial home, simply because accessibility issues are normally related to "UI". I'm not saying it is solely UI teams responsibility, or anything.

Mass move to 4.7 as M7 is approaching. Please move back in case you are planning to fix it for Neon.

Dani, is this planned by the IBM team?

Yep.

We did do an accessibility test pass during the RC1 test day but I think we should cover some more areas during the RC2 test pass, so moving to RC3.

There are a few known problems with the GTK+ implementation which will mostly be addressed during 4.6.1.

The accessibility test pass was performed on the Windows, Mac and Linux platforms and things are looking good overall. The testing could be done to a limited or lesser extent on Linux because there are issues with the GTK+ implementation as mentioned already...
