Woops, sorry I hit return by accident
Anyway, if you go to 
Preferences -> Team -> Ignored Resources

And you try to specify a directory like *3rdparty* or */3rdparty/*
or *\3rdparty\* or something like that it doesn't work..

Basically I add that to Ignored Resources and it will not ignore those resources..

The reporter believes this is a separate issue (excerpt copied from bug 39239)

We need the ignored resources fixed to work with an internal Version Control 
system.

This internal version control system only uses ignored resources.
And its not just a multi directory pattern it seems to be any directory....

Can you give exact steps of the failure? Also, you may want to check with the 
provider of the plugin for your internal version control system. It could be a 
problem with the plugin itself.

Um, I don't believe this is a separate issue.... I was just trying to give more
support for dup  39239 .

I believe this is an exact dup of  39239 .
