Having Alt+Enter to open up quickfix is much better than ctrl+1. This allows you to accept the default quick fix quickly, by pressing Alt+Enter Enter.

Given that the current binding is 'File Properties' (which is almost completely useless - I've needed to open this maybe 5 times in the decade of using Eclipse) I think it would be good to change it in the standard package. It would be ideal to change it in the upstream platform, but they are more likely to complain about the backward compatibility breakage of the File Properties than the benefit to using a new binding.

Moving to platform UI. I think we "own" the keybindings. I like the idea, after using IntelliJ for Android dev for a while now I , Altcan confirm: Alt+Enter is easier to reach.

I would propose a have both Ctrl+1 and Alt+Enter configured for Quickfix. Adding Dani for his opinion.

Alt+Enter is the well known shortcut for opening the Properties dialog (at least on Windows). We use this for the same in Eclipse for years now and it would be bad for users if we change this now.

WONTFIX
The problem described is a bug which will never be fixed.

This is not considered a bug.

I think it is not INVALID to ask for a change in a shortcut, even if windows uses a similar shortcut. I think it is a valid decision to say, our users are used to that shortcut therefore we won't change it, hence this should be closed as wontfix.

Dani, actual I don't care much about the status, change back to whatever you like.

Lets reconsider...
