In Visual C++ IDE there is an interesting selection feature with Alt key and 
mouse right key down. It is quite helpfull for moving right or left a block of 
text relative to a column (not the first column).

I'm sending you two images: in the first image 'capture1.jpg' you see the
selected text with ALt+Left Mouse Button drag action. In the second image the
selected block is moved to right with Tab key.
