Description Paul Verest CLA 2014-12-28 21:44:22 EST
It is convenient to have all related project in one workspace, however having them all opened affects eclipse start-up performance and CPU/memory usage.

But in fact larger part of those project are references and examples, that can be seen without executing builders.

Also there should be command line option and workspace preference switch to enable this mode for all workspace project.

That would make Eclipse more often used when lighter function are needed.

A more general approach would be different levels of project processing, e.g.
0 viewing
1 basic build
2 build and validation

Personally I started importing a project as general, and then converting when needed. However this can't be recommended for all especially new users.
