I have now twice upgraded from WIN32 to WIN64 machines and on each occasion attempted to re-use Eclipse WIN32. (Idiot user should know better.) Unfortunately the Eclipse starter successfully starts and diagnoses the problem as a missing JRE. Much better if the starter diagnosed itself as unsuitable, or at least gave a longer clear message: cannot find a 32 bit JRE for a 32 bit Eclipse.
