Scenario: 1. Put two or more dirty editors in a detached view. 2. Close the view. Expected behaviour: "Save resources" dialog appears (the one that shows a list of all dirty parts). Current behaviour: A separate "Save resource" dialog appears for every dirty part.
I confirm this also happens on Eclipse Luna 20140612-0600 on Linux Mint 16 KDE. Just a clarification: you need to have two or more dirty editors on the same detached view and try to close that detached view. If you try to close Eclipse (by File | Exit or with the "X" icon on the window title bar) the behaviour is correct instead.
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. If the bug is still relevant, please remove the stalebug whiteboard tag.
I can still reproduce in 2019-06.
