With bug 437494 we added/changed to solstice theme support for most of the Eclipse pages -- all of them that had the Nova theme previously. This entry is to keep track of other pages/areas that could profit from using the "solstice theme" but is tracked as an enhancement, since they did not have the Nova theme either. A "big one" is of course the individual build "download" pages. But there's many smaller ones, probably easier to fix. I wanted this bug open just to be able to keep track of them as I see them. One is the "type of builds" page: http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/build_types.html (and, FWIW, there is no reason for that to be on "downloads". It can be moved to www site, or perhaps wiki -- I actually thought it had moved to wiki already, but couldn't find it -- and might be confusing it with the repositories provided: https://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse_Project_Update_Sites ). I'm assuming the "build schedule" page could be converted: https://www.eclipse.org/eclipse/platform-releng/buildSchedule.html And ... others? ...
There is also the "archive site" http://archive.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/ Which still has the 14 year old "computer and pen" logo :) http://archive.eclipse.org/eclipse/images/Idea.jpg
another improvement (after consulting with webmasters) is there is no need for separate line or message about "contacting the webmaster" if problems. This is given in other ways these days and no need to clutter the web page.
(In reply to David Williams from comment #2) > another improvement (after consulting with webmasters) is there is no need > for separate line or message about "contacting the webmaster" if problems. > This is given in other ways these days and no need to clutter the web page. Fixed this issue with http://git.eclipse.org/c/platform/eclipse.platform.releng.aggregator.git/commit/?id=ebc26f66374cac5da2dc446e394865c7fa212de1
I also suspect the line about "All downloads are provided under the terms and conditions of the Eclipse Foundation Software User Agreement unless otherwise specified." is a bit overkill. Seems that info is provided lots of places.
