Description Tammy Perrin CLA 2014-05-07 09:38:03 EDT
When opening Eclipse preferences (Window > Preferences), the window that opens (very) often gets into a state where it minimizes itself into a vertical collapsed window (it becomes a thin, vertical line instead of a window) which cannot be dragged open.

The only way to be able to get out of it seems to be to escape from the preferences window or close Eclipse entirely and restart.

What Linux distro are you experiencing this on? Can you see if there are any errors reported in your .metadata/.log?

Also a screenshot is always a good idea....

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got
resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some
reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it.
The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you
still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is
(for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

If the bug is still relevant, please remove the stalebug whiteboard tag.
