The property (plugin_customization.ini) org.eclipse.ui.workbench/perspectiveBarVisible=false doesn't work anymore

With https://git.eclipse.org/c/platform/eclipse.platform.ui.git/commit/?id=6ae6324282e2a63a4eb5c70d4e4ca2e5114b553b you can manually close the PerspectiveSwitcher via right mouse click. Is this sufficient for you?

My guess would be 'no' since it would require all of his *users* to know how to hide it...

I'll mark this for a look in Luna SR1 since it's a regression...

Where do we process the preferences? If this is done after the application model creation we can simply search for the toolcontrol and set the model element.

This should work when creating a new workspace.  It won't work if you change the preference and there's an existing 4.x based workspace with a saved model.

Is that what you're seeing?
