Eclipse is in a very unstable state right now: - Random popup windows claiming Null pointer error - Randomly stops variable highlighting throughout file - Blinking cursor will dissapear and not reappear until changing tabs I think the system can stop/have trouble reading in preferences every once in a while: The best concrete example is once during editing an XML document, a Ctrl+Shift+F format of the document was inserting newlines in some tags. I have seen this problem once before I set the XML line length to 300. I looked in preferences and it was definitely set to 300, a couple of weeks ago. Restarting eclipse and attempting another XML format was successful. Approximately 3-4 times the Team Synchronizing view went through my entire source tree marking all of the files in svn:ignore as updated as if it was not respecting the svn:ignore feature. This was fixed by going through the TEAM->SVN preferences again, not changing anything, but it seems as if just going through some options and restarting may have fixed it. -- Configuration Details -- Product: Eclipse 1.5.2.20130110-1126 (org.eclipse.epp.package.jee.product) Installed Features: org.eclipse.platform 4.2.1.v20130118-173121-9MF7GHYdG0B5kx4E_SkfZV-1mNjVATf67ZAb7
