Hi Markus,  can you please let us know where exactly can we describe the new command line options and API ? I presume the request (and need) is not in Java Doc like documentation (which is already available since comments were added to the code), but in a general more descriptive and end user focused article.
What is the right place for such an article ? 
I can provide the content in this bug but I am sure there is a better place to publish it.

We should update these documents:
- org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv/reference/misc/bidi.html
- org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv/guide/st_text_types.htm
- org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv/reference/misc/runtime-options.html
=> Add "-bidi (org.eclipse.ui.workbench)" to the "Others" section. "-dir" should also have been added there, but instead, the information ended up only here: http://todcreaseyeclipse.blogspot.ch/2007/03/bidirectional-support-faq.html

Filed bug 409391 for strange arrow key behavior in one of the examples.

Remaining issue is that org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv/guide/st_text_types.htm
contains STTs that have been removed/renamed, and the order is not the same as everywhere else (alphabetic).

Some of the removed STTs could be presented as examples for how the framework can be extended by clients.

Moving to 4.4. to add descriptions for missing STTs and revive the dropped ones as examples for how to contribute new types.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
