Description Peter CLA 2012-12-31 05:56:55 EST
Hi,

since my Eclipse Juno 20120614-1722 takes about 2 hours to startup iv noticed that (to my shame) a file called

    C:\Users\-\workspace\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.core.resources\.projects\<myproject>\.markers.snap

is about 1gb large(!).

Since iv deleted this file, eclipse starts quite fast.

Can you code a workaround? Like a confirmation that the markers-file takes to long to load or at least a debug output? Regards.

This is a valid bug report, but I'll just mention if you have a 1GB snapshot file it implies you are perhaps never shutting down Eclipse normally. During a normal shutdown all snapshot files are deleted, since these files just store changes made in the session since the last successful shutdown.
