Description Andy Scott CLA 2012-09-12 18:57:05 EDT
When window > views (i.e. console, search, ant, package explorer etc.) appear from IDE core events such as console output changes, they overlap the window > view you are currently using despite not being in focus.

SCENARIO:
If you have ant window > view pinned to the right hand edge and minimise it. Have the console view pinned and minimized to the bottom edge if the workspace. Have the "Show Console When Standard Out Changes" option selected and make sure the view is minimised. Click on the ant icon in the right-hand panel so the view shows and is in focus. When the console output changes the view appears over the ant view, obscuring it, but is out of focus. The console view does not re-minimise again until you click on it, so it has focus, then you click off it again.

This seem to be an issue with widow display z-indexing.

Can you supply a screen cap showing this issue in action ?

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
