This test was introduced with fix to bug 359859, but it fails intermittently on the build system. 

The failure means that under some race condition situations, the view state is not completely restored as intended in the original fix.

I traced down the test failure to a bug in how the virtual tree is reset upon input change.  I committed the fix to master.  It can be merged to integration branch after M1 goes out.
