The workbench offers a preference to show the task view on errors. This 
preference is overlooked by most users and they complain about the auto reveal 
behavious. Since this option is specific to the task list it should show up in 
the task list either in the view drop down or in the toolbar.

all 1-view preferences should be place on the view itself, imo

well, i was too quick :)
my comment does not fully apply here because this preference talks about 
when the view should apprear

added check box action 'open on new problems' to view menu of ProblemsView.
tracks (and can change) the property represented on the 
WorkbenchPreferencePage.
