Section and group are currently two separate kinds of parts, but they have quite a few similarities. We should consider merging the two concepts and then providing multiple presentations.

This covers the base idea of merging the two kinds of parts, but doesn't address your original request for a collapsible section with lighter-weight presentation. Why don't you open a separate enhancement request for that aspect and make it dependent on this one. We can use the other enhancement request to discuss various possibilities for the new presentation.
