When I tried to add project to cvs (extssh on remote machine) Eclipse crash. I tried both variant (using project name as module name and specific module name). I also try to create module folder on cvs server. Eclipse is running on RedHat 9 with gtk 2.2.1. Eclipse generated some error log, but I'm not able to attach it to this bug, but I can send it via email. The problem isn't in communication with cvs server (cvs repository browser works fine).
Did the workbench crash or did an internal error occur? We need the error log or some other information to look into this problem. Why can't you attach the log?
I believe the problem may lie in Red Hat 9. The latest I heard is that few JVMs work in RedHat 9 due to API changes in the Linux kernel. What JVM are you using?
Created attachment 4529 [details] Error log generated by Eclipse I'm sorry I find this possibility right now. I'm not sure if the problem is in Java because I've used as help tool (only for working with cvs) NetBeans 3.4.1 and every thing work without any problem (I've used same method - ssh). My JDK is 1.4.1_02 (it's written in the end of the log).
The attachment seems to indicate that the error is happening in SWT. Forwarding to SWT for comment.

Jan, which GTK theme are you using ? Run gnome-theme-manager and let me which theme is selected. thanks (it doesn't matter if you're running KDE/Gnome)
My theme is Bluecurve. I have no other themes for GNOME.
I have the same problem. Sometimes, the the project is registered, but most of the time, it's not. Eclipse (the whole workbench) crashed invariably. My environment: OS: Linux RH9.0 Eclipse: 2.1 Linux-GTK JDK: 1.4.2-beta Desktop: KDE (with bluecurve) GTK: gtk2-2.2.1-4 (from rpm command)
