There is the same issue in RBD, but I got the different wrong results in EDT and RBD.
Input a Search string like "Library_????" and also check Case sensitive then go search. The results will miss someone.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Import PI in attatchment.
2. Select BaseProject first. Go to EGL search wizard, set Search string as "Library_????", Search for as "Library", Limit To as "References", Scope as "Selected resources", and not set Case sensitive, then click Search button. There are 4 results return.
3. Do search again, the search criteria are same with step 2 except for setting Case sensitive this time.

Actual results: There are only 2 results return. But compared with results in step 2, we should also get 4 here because case sensitive should not affect this searching.

The search results are also wrong if search criteria include "*", and Case sensitive.

Deferring to 1.0 - this is a low priority defect that also occurs in RBD
