Is copy/paste enabled in the context menu, when you right click in the text field?
I tried this with the internal browser in eclipse 4.2; copy/paste is enabled in the context menu. But, they are disabled in the eclipse drop-down menu.

I suspect copy in the text field context menu is the web browser itself.

For it to be enabled in the eclipse dropdown the internal browser view (or editor) would have to provide a handler to eclipse so that when the user chose Edit>Copy, the handler would be able to interact with the browser and correctly copy, cut, or paste out of the embedded browser. I'm not sure that's possible.

Correct. The menus cannot be activated for the Browser widget without a fix for bug 75815.

See also bug 358018 for a bug in the key bindings story that also kills Cmd+C on the Mac in 4.2.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
