There seems to be some sort of trouble with RC2-linux-gtk running on the second
(and first for that matter) beta of Redhat 8.1.  With Sun 1.4 and IBM 1.3 and
1.4 JREs, eclipse crashes upon such actions as "refresh" or "add repository" in
the CVS view.  Exiting also causes a crash.

The error given with using the Sun jre is:

An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM.
Unexpected Signal : 11 occurred at PC=0x4D5D3F25
Function=(null)+0x4D5D3F25
Library=/usr/lib/libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0

(similar reports with the IBM jre)

This library belongs to the gtk2-2.2.1 rpm. 

If one replaces the eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.swt.gtk_2.1.0/ from RC2 with
that from M4 the various features begin working again.

Can you please attach the java core file (hs_err_pid*.log for the Sun VM)?
Are you using a theme? If so, what is it?

Felipe, please determine if this is a duplicate of bug 33652 or bug 32204.

This from a fresh 8.1 install with no gtk, gnome, font,... customization.
