RC2 1. check out a plugin, e.g. org.eclipse.compare 2. in the navigator, select a source file contained in the project, go to properties and set the read only flag 3. open the file in the editor, make a modification, save 4. go to properties again: read-only flag not set anymore
Yes, repository providers control the read-only flag on any projects that are shared with a repository of that provider's type. Therefore, CVS changing the read-only flag on a file is acceptable. Is there some reason you find this unacceptable? If so, please reopen with an explanation of the case for which this is unacceptable.
