Description Knut Radloff CLA 2003-03-10 16:49:06 EST
build RC2

-open Window/Customize Perspective
-uncheck the entire Window > Open Perspective category
-select the Open Perspective menu
->most of the menu items remain. Customization works for the show view menu.

Should fix for RC3 if this is a regression.
Comment 2 Nick Edgar CLA 2003-03-12 12:33:01 EST
Investigate for RC3. Need approval for any fix.
Comment 3 Eduardo Pereira CLA 2003-03-12 14:12:21 EST
This is not a regression. The show perspectives menu is populated with:
  - the default perspective;
  - the perspectives from the custumization dialog
  - add mru perspectives to complite 9 items in the menu.

The problem is that show perspectives menu is not consistent with the show
views menu. I think the show views menu is easier to explain. I.E the menu is
populated with whatever is in the custumization dialog with no magic number
(9).

Either change would be simple. Not sure what would be better.
Comment 4 Nick Edgar CLA 2003-03-12 15:28:34 EST
Defer since this is not a regression.
Comment 5 Nick Edgar CLA 2003-03-12 15:28:47 EST
Reconsider for 2.2.
Comment 6 Lynne Kues CLA 2003-06-06 17:08:52 EDT
Fix this as part of providing a better Customize Perspective dialog.
Comment 7 Lynne Kues CLA 2003-06-13 18:04:23 EDT
Fixed. Since MRU lists for Views not missed, decided to just get rid of MRU
list concept for the perspectives. So what you specify in CustomizePerspective
will be what you see.
