Build Identifier: M20100909-0800 Now that minimize view can be mapped to a key per bug 52506, it would be most helpful to be able to bring it back! How about a mapping to the restore functionality you get when clicking the restore button in the corner? I would like to see this working ideally in three different ways. 1. A command restores the view that is currently selected that isn't docked, so for instance if the package explorer were minimized, the user would hit alt+shift+q, p, then the restore command. 2. An additional method would be to restore the specifically selected view (alt+control+q?,) p, would dock the view, not just show it. 3. A preference option could be added to always respond to show view commands on minimized views (alt+shift+q, p) by restoring them. Reproducible: Always
Any news on this bug?
Any follow-up on this?
(In reply to Travis LaGrone from comment #2) > Any follow-up on this? If nothing, a simple option in the "Keys" menu to assign a shortcut to the "Restore" button on a view would be good.
I am facing this issue in 2023. Some more info: - Doing "Show view (Terminal)" (or any view) when the view is minimized will only open the view temporarily like preview - Didn't find any way to restore view to original state via keyboard shortcut, have to use mouse - At this point if you try do maximize view (wanted to try maximize/mimnize as alternate way via keyboard), then it maximizes the view but after that none of the keyboard shortcuts work
