Description Ed Burnette CLA 2003-02-22 19:02:51 EST
This is a request to add a "Properties" item at the end of the context menu
for all text editors (plain text, java comp unit, etc.). Especially now that
back-linking is disabled by default, it's harder to get the properties of the
current file (for example to see the full path, modified date, cvs status, and
size).
Comment 1 Erich Gamma CLA 2003-02-28 11:02:35 EST
Back linking is enabled again and it is easy to get at the editor input object.
Just adding Properties... would be inconsistent, why not add the team actions
that operate on the editor input as well, etc.

No context menu yet but, File > Properties is enabled and Alt+Enter works too.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and remove the stalebug whiteboard tag. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
