Build Identifier: Helios Release, 20100617-1415 Novell/Suse/openSUSE use a modified version of Bugzilla that integrates their proprietary 'iChain' SSO authentication. This breaks the 'standard' Mylyn Bugzilla connector's ability to authenticate to their bugzilla. The required info/method for getting @ the iChain auth format is, I've been told, described here: "a Python interface to Novell Bugzilla using xmlrpclib" https://fedorahosted.org/python-bugzilla/browser/bugzilla/nvlbugzilla.py ironically, _not_ @ Novell project. Given the size/prominence of those projects, it would be 'nice to have' an out-of-the-box connector for Mylyn. Chances of @Novell (a) re-standardizing their auth, or (b) writing a Mylyn connector for their setup are -- after querying a bit -- somewhere between slim and none. Reproducible: Always
Thank you for your request. It does not fall into the core scope of the project and due to time constraints we are unable to resolve it at the moment. The bug has been marked helpwanted though to indicate that we would be happy to support a community contribution to resolve it.
