Validation messages don't meet the criteria for Critical severity, but this bug needs more context.  And error should be displayed where?  Is there an example you can provide showing the problem?

this is a XQDT specific issue, not an XML SSE issue. XML errors in XQDT are currently handled in the XQDT plugin (that might change in the future).
